Booking Appointments Guidance

In order to improve your access to General Practice, we are changing our processes.

Please only call at 8am if your request for an urgent appointment.

Routine appointments and general requests can be made at any time through our website by using the online contact form.

Online Contact Form requests are treated in exactly the same manner and with the same priority as requests made over the telephone, so you may find it easier to make your request online.

You can also book GP appointments via the NHS app where both telephone and in-person appointments are available.

If you still need to speak to reception regarding a routine appointment, please call later when the lines are less busy.

Not everything needs to be dealt with by a doctor.

Our reception team will ask you for the reason for the appointment, we may ask you to see another clinician within the surgery. We may also ask you to attend a consultation at a local pharmacy if this is more appropriate.

Please note we do not take prescription requests over the telephone. You can request medication through our online contact form, via an app or in an email.

Test results can be obtained via your NHS app. Please be aware if we have any significant concerns about your results then we shall contact you.

Please also note all calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
