A presentation was made by Sutton Mental Health Foundation.

This is a local charity funded jointly by London Borough of Sutton and Sutton CCG. They have meetings/support groups Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 till 3, and Sunday afternoons.

They also offer inexpensive lunches (£2).

On Thursday mornings they offer a Citizens Advice Bureau facility.

They offer Peer support funded by Sutton CCG.

They are unable to support children, offering their services to over 18s only.

A presentation was made by David Williams on the Acute Sustainability Programme. This was regarding an ongoing Epsom and St. Helier Trust initiative of IHT … Improving Health Together.

David also informed the PRG of Public engagement meetings in July and August regarding the site of a new Acute hospital to cover the Epsom and St. Helier Trust area. This Acute hospital will be either on one of the existing hospital sites or a new facility on the old Sutton hospital site. The future plan is that patients will be ‘medically optimised’ at the Acute hospital and then sent to one of the existing hospitals for nursing back to health.

Dates of future meetings

Healthwatch Sutton is contracted by the SCCG to run PRG meetings.
